Plex showing subtitles for all episodes in season/folder.

(I apologize if this is in the wrong section.)

Currently having issues with how Plex is utilizing subtitles. At first I thought they were just duplicated subtitles, but turned out they were the subtitles for the current season of the episode I’m watching. So if I’m watching S02E04 and S02 has 24 episodes it would show 24 subtitles on the list, randomly choosing one upon playing. Most of the time it chooses the wrong one.

I recently posted a comment on the Sub Zero thread about this problem but after hours of testing I’m fairly certain that it’s a problem with Plex itself, and now that I think about it, this only started happening after I updated to 1.11.3.4803 yesterday.

I’ve tried renaming the files to the correct convention (I used to leave the release filenames and never had an issue with that), downloading subtitles manually one by one thru Sub-Zero, and having SZ ignore the folder and adding the subtitles manually thru FTP. Doing the Plex Dance before each step to no avail.

Anyone else having this issue or any ideas how I could correct this?

Can a moderator please move this to the General forum for more exposure?

Can you provide the xml for the episode in your example? Also provide the screenshot of your directory structure for that season.

@“MovieFan.Plex”

I couldn’t provide the one in the screenshot since I’m doing some workaround to watch that show (adding subtitles one by one after I’m done with the episode) but I could easily reproduce it by refreshing any episode’s metadata (this show/episode has been fine before this issue started happening, which kinda proves that it’s not an issue with my directory structure/naming since it’s been working fine in the past. Please see attached files. Will also PM you the logs, I downloaded it right after I did the refresh. Thanks!

Alright, any other takers?

Can you post the XML for 2 other episodes in that same season?

@“MovieFan.Plex”

See attached. Thanks.

This has been resolved. Turns it out was a setting within Sub-Zero. Sorry to have bothered you with this @“MovieFan.Plex”!

Hah. That’s not something I’ve not heard before. Can you explain what setting it was for future reference?

Thanks for the info.
