Plex shows black screen on Samsung TV 2019 (RU7400)(Tizen)

Player Version#: 5.10.0 (From Samsung Hub installation details)

My TV is Samsung TV Tizen (UA65RU7400KXXA) which is a 2019 TV.

Yesterday where when I started the app, it shown the loading logo for a while (Samsung Hub loading screen) and then black screen (infinitely). No menu or anything that can be clicked on. After a few forced close (press and hold back button), it worked.

Today, the same happens again. But now, no matter what I do, it’s black screen. I tried the following, but they didn’t help.

  1. reinstall
  2. remove and install
  3. restart TV (power off/on)

I noted in another thread stating that the version shown in the Samsung Hub installation details may not reflect the actual version install. Since I can’t get the app to run, I can’t check what’s the actual installed version.

Note: Plex is working on Android (Samsung phones and Mi Box) and web browser (PC).

It has been about 2 hours since I’m facing the issue and now Plex seems to be able to start. Version in app is 5.24.1. Platform 5.

This issue was there yesterday morning and it happened again this morning, so I’m worried that it will happen again tomorrow.
