Plex skill media playback failure

LG Player Version#:

  • Plex for LG: 4.19.1
  • webOS 4.7.0

Samsung Player Version#:

  • Plex for Samsung: 4.17.1
  • Tizen: 4.0

When using the Alexa command “Ask Plex to Play [media title]” it responds with “Enjoy watching [media title] on [device]” but no media playback occurs.

On the LG it appears to be receiving the communication because if the Plex screensaver is on it will “wake up” but nothing plays regardless of the state (idle or active).

On the Samsung I get “Playback Error [media title] Content is Unavailable” on all media sources. The same media plays without issue when selecting the title via the on screen menu.

I have updated the Plex server, relinked my account with Alexa, and validated remote access is available.

Any help is appreciated.

Im having this issue to with PLEX and alexa it has not worked for months Alexa used to find movie to play but said not available but it plays if i play it via remote or mouse she can pause movies exc and that is it. That is Both on PC and TV . And now that i have updated to the latest server she will open the PLEX app but nothing shows up and even trys to play anything
