Samsung Smart TV Plex client gives "Playback Errot" when launching a video from Alexa

I keep getting this “Playback Error” message no matter what movie I try launching via Alexa (Echo Dot 3rd Gen):

But if I do it manually via Samsung Smart TV’s remote control it plays perfectly fine.

My PMS is located on my laptop, which is on same wireless network as my Samsung Smart TV.

Any info will be much appreciated…

No, I did not.
As you can see nobody replied to this post except you and there is not a way to get a proper response from Plex team :frowning:

Does your Samsung app show as an available player to cast to? I’m unable to get Alexa to recognize it as a player at all…

I’ve had similar issues on an LG smart TV and a thread here dating back to November. Still no replies there except from people having same issues. Eventually I gave up on it and disabled the skill. Someone mentioned that these issues have been around for a few years so I’m not holding my breath but would be nice to have it working. I was also experiencing problems when trying to stream to my windows player, it just showed some general error and pointed me towards the forums for help.

My Alexa, recognize the player ok, and when I ask to play a particular think, she says enjoy watching…but nothing begins in my Samsung smatTV Plex player,
It works ok with other players such as IPhone , iPad or Apple TV
