I’m trying to watch a show that is h.264 10-bit with .ass subtitles. So of course its transcoding. Some times when I try to skip back the video skips forward instead. Sometimes it does it so much I can’t skip back to where I was in the episode, because it keeps skipping forward instead. To get back to where I was I have to back out of the episode and start playing it from the start again (and then skip forward to where I was).
It doesn’t seem to do this when I’m direct playing anything. I also doesn’t think it does this if I’m only transcoding the audio. This is currently happening on a Nvidia shield, but it also happened on my roku ultra

It also happens if I hardware transcode or software transcode.

TL;DR
Transcoding shows sometimes skips forward when I press skip back
