Hi,
For one of my shows (Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood) I have the problem that plex splits it up into two seasons. There only ever was one season of that show and looking https://thetvdb.com/series/fullmetal-alchemist-brotherhood, this is confirmed there too.
For some reason though, plex decides that episodes 27-40 is part of a non-existing season 2. So in my library it looks like that:
Episode 1-26 -> Season 1
Episode 27-40 -> Season 2
Episode 41-64 -> Season 1 (again)
I’ve gone through the process of moving the show to a non-monitored location, scanned the library again, then moved it back and scanned library again, but no change.
I even tried going along with plex’s suggestion and created folders season 1, …2, …3, putting the last few episodes in season 3, but it ignored that change.
Tried merging the two seasons in plex UI, also no change, it just doesn’t do anything it seems.
I’m running out of ideas what else to try, so any help would be much appreciated
Hi,
have you try updating you’re media scanner ti the new one from plex?
second idea for some reason I’ve choose for my anime to use HamaTv and Absolute Serie Scanner and since I change from plex scanner to this I do not have any issue with my Anime librairie and no problem with my Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood see img
I think I am already using the latest media scanner from plex as there’s no option to update.
HamaTV and Absolute Series led me down quite a rabbit hole and I’m unfortunately not tech-savvy enough to get it to work properly (Hama TV says it can’t find results for anything I try to match with it).
Thanks a lot for your screenshot.
Just looking at that I realised my mistake.
I had all episodes in following Format:
Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood - [Episode Nr] - [Episode Title]
I renamed them all to the format [Season Nr] - [Episode Nr] - [Episode Title]
Now it works as expected.
Thanks a lot for your help!
If you want to give a new chance to hama tv for anime if the default match is not working in the advance search in the title section enter the full title from anidb and add at the end the tag [anidb-#####]
: is the id on anidb and you may need to set the airing year since i know this “technic” i never add matching problem since
