Server Version#: Version 4.66.1
Player Version#: Irrelevant
I’ve had the show The 4400 in my Library for a while and recently added the show 4400. They’re in separate folders in my drives. However when I’m viewing my library It’s only showing The 4400. When I click on “The 4400” under Season 1 it has the episodes from “4400 Season 1” and then for Season 2 it has Season 2 of “The 4400”, Same with Season 3 and 4. It’s combing both show when viewing through the player or browsing library through server. The actual Season 1 of “The 4400” is not showing anywhere in my Plex Server/player. I’m not even seeing the option to split. I’ve verified my files are correct. I have Drive:\TV\The 4400\ with Season 1, 2, 3 and 4 in that folder. and then I have Drive:\TV\4400\Season 1. I’ve even tried adding (2021) to 4400 looking like this: Drive:\TV\4400(2012), Then I cleared the metadata out of that folder then scanned my files and it organized them together again. I’m at a loss. Anyone have any idea’s?
Including the year is recommended with the new agent as it’ll give you better matching results (though make sure to use the correct year the show first aired!). In tricky cases like yours you can also include a reference to one of the online repositories.
Example
TV <- the folder linked to your tv-show library
The 4400 (2004) {tvdb-73507}
Season 01
The 4400 (2004) - s01e01 - Pilot (1).ext
The 4400 (2004) - s01e02 - Pilot (2).ext
The 4400 (2004) - s01e03.ext <- episode title is completely optional
...
4400 (2021) {tmdb-127581}
Season 01
4400 (2021) - s01e01 - Past Is Prologue.ext
4400 (2021) - s01e02.ext
...
As your files are already matched (and incorrectly merged), you should do a full Plex Dance (of which you already did some steps; make sure you do all of them!)
