Plex combining different shows into one (fullmetal alchemist and fullmetal alchemist brotherhood)

I use filebot to name my shows according to plex’s standard

I have Fullmetal Alchemist named like so,

/Anime
   /Fullmetal Alchemist  (2003)
      /Season 01
         Fullmetal Alchemist (2003) - S01E01 - He Who Would Challenge the Sun.mkv
         Fullmetal Alchemist (2003) - S01E02 - Body of the Sanctioned.mkv
   /Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (2009)
      /Season 01
         Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (2009) - S01E01 - Fullmetal Alchemist.mkv
         Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (2009) - S01E01 - Fullmetal Alchemist.jpn.ass
         Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (2009) - S01E02 - The First Day.mkv
         Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (2009) - S01E02 - The First Day.jpn.ass

however when I scan library plex combines the episodes into one library item, meaning I can only see either Fullmetal Alchemist, or Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

It doesn’t even seperate the shows into different seasons, Plex recognizes them as the same episodes for the same show and then combines them

steps I’ve taken to remedy:
tried every plex agent, I normally use HAMA and then AniDB
tried removing one show, scan library, replace it, scan again
tried removing both shows, scan library, replace with one show at a time, scan again
checking possible name conversions through other agents in filebot

even filebot if I use tvDB, thinks that I have the same episode twice

but I have confirmed mutliple times that that hama is matching the shows with their aniDB page not tvDB

I wouldn’t mind if the shows were seperated into seasons but I can only play one season without having to go into my file explorer and removing one

Plex has so many problems it’s insane

Try adding TMDB or TVDB tags in the show folder title. It would look like the following:

Fullmetal Alchemist (2003) {tmdb-37863} or {tvdb-75579}

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (2009) {tmdb-31911} or {tvdb-85249}

After you do that, try a Plex Dance and hopefully you shouldn’t have the problem anymore.
