I have a Squeezebox Boom that I currently connect to a Windows 10 PC via the line-in port. Is it possible to use the Boom as a player for Plex? I don’t (and don’t want to) run Squeezebox Server (aka Logitech Media Server).

You’re going to have to if you want to stream directly to it.
Another thought - what’s the cheapest client hardware I can buy that will front-end the Boom for Plex?
