Plex stopped automatically recognizing new files

Are you using the BTRFS file system?

Yes.

Have you reset the file/folder permissions?
Does your admin user have ownership of the Media folder and all of it’s contents?
Have you rebooted the NAS?

Yes to all of your questions. As already discussed here it is not a problem with permissions. Plex finds my new files when I start a manual scan. Just the automatically scan does not work.
