Plex stopped downloading metadata

Hello, I´m from Brazil
Neither my english or my computer knowledege is enough to post, however, here I’m
I have the exact same problem Syrigos had
I have about 900 films in my library but for the last 50, Plex stopped bringing metadata.
It was working very well, every film I added, it was bringing metadata and I was quite happy
Without any changes in agents or other settings, it stoped, even when the correspondence is just fine. (about this, I have a few movies in my library that have the same problem). For the same films, other small notebooks that I use as alternative servers are working well with the same settings.
My server is a I7 PC working with windows 7, I think that I’m a typical amateur domestic user.
Maybe you can give me step by step instructions. I think that this can help other users that are not strong in english and on computer knowledge

I tried the solution you gave for Syrigos but it didn’'t work for me
Really, indexing is very important for that king of use and most part of the fun
If you can, send me exact instructions on how sending a log file for this
Best regards, Jacques

Hello, is Jacques again
Just to give a tip for other people with the same problem
I changed agents many times and it doens´t work.

Something that worked for me that is not in this post, was logging off plex and take same minutes before logging in again. Some files that were not being added to the library, become to be added again

About downloading metadata, there is something very strange…I read it in a plex forum in brazilian portuguese. The person said that some modems, here in Brazil, can have closed ports that not allow to download metadata. He suggests to use another connection. I did that using my cel phone and it downloaded all metadata that were lacking.

He said to avoid having two conections at the same time, wireless and wired
Well, those things worked for me
As a suggestion to Plex, I understand that my conection to download metadata was not working and that I shoud found this information somewhere in a easier way, as a message error

I asked Plex to refresh/update all library many times but haven’t received a clear message that the connmection was failing
Tks

Well that’s it
Using my main connection, Plex doesn’t download metadata (anymore???)
No mather if it’s wired or wifi
I changed to my mobile connection and imediately, the metadata is downloaded in seconds
My questions:

  1. It was downloading using my main connection and all sudden it stopped. What happened?
  2. How can I fix that?
  3. How can Plex shows that this is the problem?
The problem is not file naming rules
The problem is not the agent order
The problem is not antivirus or shield blocking in the computer, once the mobile connection share that because those things are instaled in the pc

I am insisting on this, because I´ve seen many people in the forums with the same problem.
I think it´’s usefull because I spent many hours trying to fix that with infomations I read in the forums

Same problem here, just stopped downloading metadata… But my PC do not have wireless capabilitys, so i cant try the mobile connection.

Jacques, what’s the brazilian forum you using? Thanks!

Hello
I’m out of The office right now

As soon as I can, I’ll find the link and send It to You

It’s very clear that the problem is caused by network

Concerning to Plex, I think that they should have somethinh easier to identify the problem. I sugest they have somethinh like “Test Your Network”, in the menu and a clear step by step Topic about that, once mamy users have no skills to that.

The topics in the fórum até concentrated in two solutions:

  1. Disable IPV6 in the modem

  2. The internet operator suddenly blocks port necessary to Plex, like 32400

In Brazil, in the second case, You have to contact operator and ask them to unblock the port. However, some reported that they don’t allow to unblock and this is a huge problem

Nesta regards
