Metadata isn't loading anymore

Server Version#: 1.19.5.3112
Player Version#:1.17.0.1376-439f8b7f
Hello Guys.

After adding some more films to my library i recognized that Plex isn’t getting metadata anymore. He scanned the new Movies and didn’t get any Data. After trying it out a few more times and selecting the movies manually, it still doesn’t work. I tried reinstalling deleted all the setting files and my existing metadata and tried it again. now it looks like this

Now my whole library is blank and nothing will be loaded when i hit update. Can someone maybe help me? I used Plex for over a year without any problems but now nothing works anymore.

Please post the contents of the Plex XML info of one such movie.
(Don’t post the URL of the XML!)

Do also edit your library,
go to the ‘Advanced’ tab and see what is selected as ‘Scanner’ and ‘Agent’.

Are you using a FritzBox router on a cable connection?

Here is the XML file on pastebin

and here is a screenshot for the agents

Because he didn’t download anything i checked all the options. But that doesn’t change anything.

This movie has been matched with the TMDB agent. So you need to click on ‘TheMovieDatabase’ first.
Then grab one of the lines and drag it down- or upwards one position.
Let go and then drag it back to its original position.
Now Refresh Metadata on the movie.

i changed the order to “TheMovieDatabase” first then Plex movie but it doesnt work as well.

Now my List looks like this

Normally it looks like this when he can’t assign the movie. but normally you can do that manually.
Btw my Plex finds the movies but still no metadata

Could you dive down onto the preplay page of a single movie?
What is there and what is not? I can see that the movie titles are mostly correct, but what about the rest?

Nothing else Year and Name. But i think he gets that maybe out of the tags inside the file

Are you using a FritzBox router on a cable connection?

oh my bad you asked that at the beginning. but no i use the cable router from vodafone. and with LAN

Something might still interfere with metadata downloads.

Verify that your server machine has accurate clock time and date set.

Repeat the move up/down procedure over under Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - Plex Movie

Clear the local metadata cache https://support.plex.tv/articles/202967376-clearing-plugin-channel-agent-http-caches/

Then

  1. activate debug logging (not ‘verbose’!)
  2. quit Plex Server
  3. wait 1 minute
  4. start Plex Server
  5. wait 2 minutes
  6. either refresh one movie or add one movie into your library
  7. wait 3 minutes
  8. fetch log files and attach them here

Here are the logs

I got it i found an old entry here that says disable ipv6 i did and it works now

Glad you found a way.

but thx for the comprehensive help. It is weird that it worked over a year with it on. thats nothing i would expect.

I assume that inbetween your ISP has now activated IPv6 on your connection.
Which causes Plex to prefer it over IPv4.
But apparently it is not working as it should, so it only starts to work again if you force Plex to use IPv4, by disabling IPv6.

This should improve when you switch to the new native Plex Movie agent which comes in PMS v1.20
