Up until a month or two ago everything was working fine, then one day Plex decided it was just going to be neurotic on the PC and the Chromecast. It plays some shows and movies, while not wanting to know about others. It was annoying because I was halfway through watching a season through the website and now none of the episodes work, not even the ones I’d already watched on the PC. Tried downloading the app to Windows, same issue.
Everything seems to be working fine and dandy on my Android phone though?

Plex’s own free ad based media works fine, but whenever I try to watch my own media based server or media from a friends server, it refuses to load. I’ll be stuck on the screen with the loading circle going round and round indefinitely until I inevitably rage quit
I am having a similar issue. Up until about a week ago everything played on everything just fine. I am still in the stage of pinpointing, but I have found that I can play everything on my phone (including resuming files). I can START to play everything on everything, but as soon as I do any resume play, I am prohibited to just my phone (iOS). This also only happens with some files and not all.
It’s just a bit on the frustrating side, but I’m glad I’m not the only one experiencing this issue. If you’re able to pinpoint the cause and share how to fix it, you’ll be royalty amongst us peasants
