… and the summary is not coming from there. However, the text plex is using is contained at https://www.filmink.com.au/beast so maybe its coming from there but there is no way to edit this to correct it.
TMDB also has a better summary IMO but I guess that is open to opinion!
I for one hope this is a mistake as I strongly dislike having long summaries for movies. The plex apps truncate the text so having long winded summaries is just counter productive and silly.
Thanks. So it comes from the second plot summary from IMDB which is why I missed it when I went checking. Can I ask why the second plot summary has selected ? The first one is more precise IMO. It’s also the same text which TMDB uses.
The deathly hallows harry potter examples I used above seem to be doing the same thing (using second plot summary from IMDB) while other movies from the franchise don’t.
@drzoidberg33 something must have changed recently as more and more movies are starting to have long winded silly plot summaries. Could I be so bold as to request you take this feedback back to the team and ask them to look into the algorithm which decides what plot summary to pull.
Who in the right mind cares about the lego movie and 21 jump street when they are reading the plot for the movie. The default plots on the landing pages for these movies at TMDB and IMDB are much better than the one plex has decided to take.
Anyhow, while I’m ranting a bit please do take this as constructive feedback. I’d also be curious if others on the forum agree or disagree with the plot summaries as they now.
