Plex Synology - Music Match Problem

Server Version#: 1.23.0.4438 and on
Player Version#: 4.54.5

Since upgrading to PlexMediaServer-1.23.0.4438-5eef0fd80-x86_64_DSM6.spk on April 29 , new music added to my library has not been matching properly. Once the scan is complete, selecting “Fix Match” shows that the correct artist has been identified, but no metadata loads for the artist or albums. Subsequent server versions (PlexMediaServer-1.23.0.4482-62106842a-x86_64_DSM6.spk & PlexMediaServer-1.23.0.4497-a1b1f3c10-x86_64_DSM6.spk) have the same problem.

When I uninstalled and then installed PlexMediaServer-1.22.3.4392-d7c624def-x86_64_DSM6.spk, the issue was resolved and the music was properly matching again.

Thanks. All the files are tagged correctly, and organized as Plex recommends, so these aren’t at issue. As I mentioned, downgrading the server version fixed my problem, and the same files for which Plex Music metadata was not previously loading (such as album review, rating, artist post, bio, etc.) are now populating properly with the server version downgrade.

I just did another test and got the same result. This is definitely not a network issue.

With Plex server version 1.22.3.4392, I scanned my music library for newly added artist The Futureheads:

I removed the Futureheads folder, scanned to remove it from Plex, upgraded the server version to 1.23.0.4497, added the Futureheads folder back to the library, and scanned again. This was the result:

I’ll re-downgrade for the time being, as that seems to resolve the issue. Happy to provide other information as helpful. Thanks.
