i just updated to the lasted live build of PMS and when i try to optimize my media all it does is create a file with audio only, no video or subs. all the same settings as the previous build. transcoding on the fly works though.
i have tried resetting the server, tried reinstalling the server same issue
rolled back to 9057 and it works there
Can you specify which exact version of PMS you have installed (“latest” is quite a moving target).
Are your server logs showing any error messages related to this?

its version 1.41.3.9292 and its happening with all files, only with optimized versions though if i download them to my phone they transcode fine. if i go back to 1.41.1.9057 it works correctly

hevc encoding is working for optimising
but im still getting the same quality and bitrate as x264
5 months later and this is still happening with avc encoding wtf, why are you guys refusing to fix this
Your logs indicate it is using trouble identifying the optimization profile parameters. Have you tried with a different profile?
same thing happens with all profiles
and now hevc is doing it now too running server version 1.41.5.9522
with the latest version 1.41.6.9685 this has been fixed for hevc but is still broken for avc
just did a test with 1.41.7.9749 and avc is still creating files with audio only
