Plex treats 127.0.0.1 as remote when LAN net specified

Server Version#: Version 1.18.3.2156
Player Version#: Version 1.4.1.940-574c2fa7

prefix: whitespace in LAN net causes problem when server reads subnets. Not sure why remote causes transcoding over direct play though

I have Plex Server and Player on the same host and when a LAN subnet is specified 10.0.0.x/x or 192.168.x.x/x Plex will treat 127.0.0.1 as remote. This has caused issues with direct play, as when LAN is specified playback will go to hardware transcoding and not direct play when compatible. As soon as LAN net is null the same file will direct play. I tried adding 127.0.0.1 to the LAN net but it threw errors, and handling / seems buggy. I attempted
10.0.0.1/24, 127.0.0.1
10.0.0.1/24, 127.0.0.1/32
10.0.0.1/24, 127.0.0.1/255.255.255.255

Error parsing allowedNetworks ' 127.0.0.1': An invalid argument was supplied
Error parsing allowedNetworks ' 127.0.0.124': An invalid argument was supplied
Error parsing allowedNetworks ' 127.0.0.1255.255.255.255': An invalid argument was supplied

Just omit the space characters after the comma.

The error msg refers to “List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth” and NOT “Lan networks”, btw.

Just worked that out… sigh. Could be handled better by the software, hopefully they can add a fix
