Plex TV Misidentifying episodes

  1. make sure that exactly the folder /TV is added to the Plex library. Not one folder above or below that level.
  2. Always write the season number in 2-digit format (i.e. with a leading zero) – unless it is actually a year number.
  3. disable the check box “prefer local meta data” in the properties of your Plex library
  4. perform the Plex dance with all intermixed files or the show as a whole.
