I recently added a 10 episode season of a TV show. They sit correctly in a folder. I was able to get Plex to match the show and all it’s episodes but for some reason Plex is also creating a separate match for 1 episode from that show. So when I look at my library it has season 1 of the show with 10 episodes and then next to it is also episode 5. Any idea what that’s happening?

do you have your show files named correctly exactly as stated @ https://support.plex.tv/articles/naming-and-organizing-your-tv-show-files/
/data/tv/showname (year)/season 01/showname (year) - s01e01 - episodename.ext
Only seen that happen when a file has embedded metadata that conflicts with what it found online and creates a new show for it with just that episode file. Like if the title of show is spelled slightly different in embedded metadata
