I’m trying to restrict the access from outside home network to only specific client IP.
To get the remote access get work properly with that firewall rule i need to add also some plex.tv server IP to that rule.
What IP address is it? Which plex.tv IP server needs the ability to connect to my server?
plex uses a pool of ip address that to my knowledge all come from plex.direct. not sure on the rest
Ok, what range of IPs belongs to this direct access?
It’s ok when there are two first known, like 85.79.xxx.xx
honestly the best way to know it with your ip logs of your firewall personally i have no clue

No, i’m using now VPN to my home network. Incoming ports to plex from outside are disabled.
The IP’s are dynamic and change regularly. You would need to create a script that periodically polls the server list and update your firewall rule.
I have make a vpn , the access of plex it’s ok but no stream
