Plex TV Series Agent Missing

Even after multiple server updates, Plex TV Series does not show up under Agents. What am I missing here?

That’s a bit strange, I can’t really make out why that’s happening.

Could you run the following command from the terminal for me and post the output.

Thanks, that all looks correct.

I can’t really tell what could be going wrong there. You could try removing Plex completely and re-installing it. I’ll see if I can figure something out on Monday.

Thanks, no worries. Let me know. I’d rather not take such a drastic step if I don’t have to.

@drzoidberg33 Were you able to figure this one out? If not, what’s the proper procedure to reinstall Plex on Linux and not have to reconfigure everything?

@drzoidberg33 I have updated to Version 1.24.5.5173 and still nothing. I’m just doing a dpkg -i ./file Any further suggestions here? Thank you.

Running dpkg -r plexmediaserver, the renaming “/var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/” “Fixed” the issue. Serious pain in the ass to set everything back up. I hope you can find a solution to this for other users who may have this issue.

Is there any way to get my history back by copying something from the old directory into the new? My DVR schedules? etc?

Ok, update. So, after the reinstall, i copied the new PlexSeries.bundle from the new /usr/lib/plexmediaserver/Resources/Plug-ins-xxxxxxx directory to my old Plug-ins-e362dc1ee directory, changed permissions, then renamed “/var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/” to .NEW and restored my "“/var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/” directory, and it appears to have the Plex TV Series Agent now.
