I’ve been using Plex for years, and TV Matching has always worked perfectly. Recently though new shows are not being matched. When I try to “Match…” or even “Fix Match…” the only agent show in the Agent dropdown is the “Home Movie Series”. Also NO RESULTS are ever found…
When I got to a library and choose Manage → Advanced at the Scanner is “Plex Series Scanner” (which is the “old” scanner) but I do have the choice for the newer “Plex TV Series” scanner. If I choose that and click “Save Change” it tells me that “Your changes could not be saved.”
Please help, not matching shows is driving me crazy!
deinstall Plex Server with the regular ‘Apps’ control panel of Windows
(do not use 3rd party ‘Uninstaller’ software like Revo etc.
do not use “Registry Cleaner/optimizer” software like CCleaner et al)
for safety, reboot Windows
download a fresh copy of the installation exe of Plex Server and install it
I followed those steps, did the uninstall from Add/Remove programs, rebooted, reinstalled with the latest download 1.22.2.4282 and it still only has those options in the Agents section of the server. (Previously I also had tried to repair but that had no effect either)
Or inspect them yourself. Take a look at the Plex Media Server.log file and seek for messages about database corrupt or malformed.
If you find these, you may have to repair your database.
Nope to changing firewall settings, firewall is actually disabled on my Windows 10 PC. Windows is not running in protected mode. 27.6 GB free on C drive. Plex has been running fine for a long time, used to have all those other agents…this probably came with one of the recent Plex upgrades but I don’t know exact when it started.
Take a look into %LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex Media Server\Updates and see if you have an earlier version of the Plex server installer in there.
Try to revert back, see it this is restoring the additional agents.
Tried uninstalling, rebooting, going back to a previous version. Same issue.

Uninstalled, then manually cleaned up and directory and registry entry. Rebooted. Reinstalled latest version. Same issue.
