Plex tv shows don't disappear

HI, since 2/3 server updates i can no longer get my Tv Show episodes to disappear from library when they get deleted from disk. It worked like a charm, not anymore and i already removed the entire tv show library and inserted a new one. Still the same…

Must be server issue???

Just to clarify… the show is gone when you’re accessing your server through Plex Web or other apps but there’s still some stale records showing in the Android TV client?

No, the episodes or files are gone from disk but i still see the episode in the tv show section in the server on windows, can’t make it go away as before.

Maybe another copy of the folder is floating around on one of the drives linked to Plex

PS: I just did a new tv show library with the same folders, deleted the old one and gave this new one a new name. It seems fixed as i removed content already and it’s not showing up. Let’s hope for the best…

The only reason i can think is maybe a bad server update???

Unlikely.

To be on the safe side, check your database file for damage:

  1. activate debug logging (not ‘verbose’!)
  2. quit Plex Server
  3. wait 1 minute
  4. start Plex Server
  5. wait 5 minutes
  6. fetch log files and attach them here

Or inspect them yourself. Take a look at the Plex Media Server.log file and seek for messages about database corrupt or malformed.
If you find these, you may have to repair your database.
