Plex TV Shows folder scan and TV guide refresh monopolizing an 8 core xeon cpu

I have plex:beta/plexpass, running on a docker in unraid. As stated in the title, my CPU usage is at 100%, and it causes the server to halt and stumble. When I stop the plex container, everything goes back to normal.

All I see in plex is a message saying my TV shows folder is being scanned and when I restart the container it shows that the TV guide is being refreshed. As a result most of the time we have stopped using plex and switched to Emby installed on the same server as the player of choice.

Anyone else having the same problem?

Could you provide some logs for your server when it’s in this state? Make sure you have checked the “Enable Plex Media Server debug logging” box in the General server settings and then make sure the server is in this high CPU state and grab the logs from Settings -> Troubleshooting -> Download Logs.
