I’ve been using Plex for sometime. Had a few month break and then tried to get started again and Plex couldn’t find my server. I deleted my account, uninstalled, created new account, reinstalled, still no luck. I get stuck the FAQ page at Make sure your server is listed under devices. It is not. But I dont’ know what to do next. I’ve installed the latest server and when I click launch nothing happens. Any help is appreciated. FYI my computer skills are about 3/10 under generous evaluation. Hi - welcome to the forums
You don’t give any info on your environment / platform / OS
The server settings that are held on the computer may still have an old plex.tv account that you may have used before
The settings are in a Preferences.xml file in Linux / NAS, in registry on windows and in plist file on Mac

If you have no access to the server, restart the system and if there is still an issue, locate the logs and copy out and zip and attach

what browser are you using and how exactly are you accessing your server (e.g. via https://app.plex.tv/desktop or https://your-pms-ip-address:32400/web)?

Thanks for the replies and the welcome.
Oddly right when I got home today my daughter turned on the Plex on our smart TV and everything kicked in like it never skipped a beat. The server and all my movies are displayed on my laptop as well again.
Is it possible my TV is the location of the Plex Server and not my laptop???
