Recently having a problem where plex becomes unresponsive but doesn’t fully crash. It works fine after a reboot but a few minutes in plex dashboard fails to show the correct media being played and a little after that all the charts(bandwidth, CPU, RAM,) start loading until it says unable to load statistics. If I try to load a movie up it constantly loads or says the library is unavailable. If I’m currently watching something while this happens it continues to play without problem until next episode. This is starting to happen more frequent. Rebooting fixes it temporarily.

I also tried to update to the latest beta 1.32.1.6999 and that worked well for about 5 hours before the same things started happening. I was on the latest public 1.32.0.6973 but downgraded to :1.32.0.6950 thinking it would fix it. I’m not sure if the log files will help because its hard to grab them once plex becomes unresponsive.

So, your Plex installation is a lot like my ex wife. Maybe we should introduce them?

I’ve run into that when helping friends with their servers and every single time it has been that too much is running on their server.

In general a server should have no regular tasks except serving. It should not be your every day computer. You can get away with some small support programs but heavy tasks as well as regular daily tasks should be on a different computer.

But I do not dictate I just make suggestions and feel perfectly free to ignore me. My ex wife did that pretty well too.

Lol! thanks for the suggestion but I’m not sure that is the problem. It’s a dedicated W11 PC only for PMS with an i7 -10700k and gtx 1080. Running on this setup for years without problem. Just started acting up sometime last week. :pensive:
