Plex unstable since "streaming update"

Since upgrading to latest version (which includes streaming services like Netflix), Plex frequently struggles to buffer videos on my network.

Issue either stops me from starting a video at all or stops while media is playing and pauses indefinitely.

I can play the videos without issue using VLC over network.

Issue doesn’t occur on version version previous to streaming services update.

When looking at Plex server details, CPU is under 10% utilisation and memory under 5%.

Have tried setting Transcode Buffer to higher and lower values than the default but makes no difference.

Having done some further testing, this looks to primarily be an issue with the web-player. I have looked into changing the codec for files and this doesn’t seem to resolve.

Some files will work periodically and then cease working (infinite load upon clicking play).
