Hello,
I need help, trying to bring the new Plex Server Update on my NAS.
ASUSTOR AS606. But can it with the new firmware (ASUSTOR 2.3.0.RBSC) Do not install Plex update 0.9.11.7.803-87d0708. Please can you help me?
Greetings Jens Fischer
I haven't updated Plex since the latest BUGGY ADM update Asustor pushed out. To manually update though, you do this:
Open App Central, turn off Plex (Little slidey switch) and then go to Manual Install. Select the file you downloaded from Plex downloads in the file line and then click upload. It will give you a "do you really want to do this?" question warning about un-authorized apps, etc. Click OK or Yes or whichever it is. After a few minutes you will get Plex up and running.
Just be sure you are installing the 64 bit version and not the 32 bit version. The 60x's are 64 bit NAS's. If you are getting an error doing the steps I've already outlined, odds are you are trying to upload a 32 bit app.
If this STILL doesn't work go to http://forum.asustor.com and report the error on the ADM forums. There are alreay tons of other issues with the ADM update, and this would just be another one added to the mess. (I post on that forum site as Elrique64, which I have also done on this site as well.)
Just seeing your answer Mike - hope you don’t mind I jump on this one but after downloading the zip file to a windows machine, unzip and then select a file, I cannot “upload”. That button is greyed out so obviously the file downloaded is not what it is looking for. I have tried all files in the zip folder.
I have clicked on the link to “Download now” at the top of the Plex page. Not sure what is wrong with my process but simply attempting a update to 1.13.5.5332 on a Asustor box.
