I’m new to Plex and just purchased an Asustor 6404T NAS. I’ve had very good success so far getting started converting my DVDs to files but had a question on upgrading Plex. I’ve noticed for several days that when log into Plex, I get a message that says there’s an upgrade available to my server. I’m running version 1.15.2.793 and the new version is 1.15.3.876. I went to the App upgrade page of my Asustor and it says all apps are up to date. I decided to download the new version but when I tried to do a manual upgrade through the Asustor manual app upgrade process, I got a message that said installing an unapproved upgrade could cause system instability. I contacted Asustor Tech Support and they said I should contact Plex to find out when the approved upgrade would be available. I’d like to upgrade but don’t want to cause problems. What’s the recommended way to handle Plex upgrades on an Asustor NAS … install them whenever they’re released or wait for the “approved” version to show up in the Asustor app upgrade center.
