Plex using english movie title in a german library.

So since a few weeks plex seems to use the english title of the movie instead of the german one. Strange enough it is only the title. The rest of the metadata is displayed in german. At first I thought it was because there was no german database entry but it continues to happen with every new movie I add. So if I have

/media/data3/PLEX/Filme/Verlobung auf Umwegen (2010)/Verlobung auf Umwegen (2010).mkv

I get “Leap Year” as the title but the description of the movie in german. Is this a known bug?

I use Version 1.2.7.2987 but it was present in some previous versions as well. Can not tell exactly when it started though.

Did you follow the guide for german movie metadata here?

I did. It did work for a year. Just suddenly stopped working. And it is also just the movies. Not the series.

Check your agent configuration.
Are there agents missing? (compare with the screenshots from the guide)
Please do also provide the Plex XML info of one affected movie.

Aaaaaaah. I see. There is a checkbox “Localized titles” now. Probably added with the plex movie agent. Never used that before but suddenly seems required. Thank you.

‘Freebase’ had the same checkbox.
But it shouldn’t matter, because the title should come from OFDB.de, overriding the title from ‘Plex Movie’
if you followed the above linked guide precisely.
