Plex does not seem to handle vtt subtitle files correctly on my Apple TV. They work fine through my desktop mac & my iPad. srt file work fine on all devices. It seems when trying to display vtt subtitles, through the AppleTV, I get 2 images of the same subtitle somewhat displaced from each other. My vtt files have been verified, there are no errors. Moreover, I do not include any styling – just a bare-bones vtt file: timing & text. I have scraped my knuckles trying to find some information on the web to no avail. There really seems to be no way to report this issue to Plex. I can provide pics or info on my set up but it seems peculiar that all srt files work & all vtt files do not, especially when the vtt file work well enough on other clients on the same network. Any ideas?? (Note: Infuse has no problem with the vtt files.)
The problem is well known and in a recent post with @raiiyzen77 we never got an answer.
