When having VTT subtitles, external, enabled while doing a playback I have double subtitles.
It looks to be the same as what has happened in this topic: Double subtitles (VTT) on Apple TV
When using the “old” player it’s working properly. The app on my Macbook works as intended (not sure if they use the same player).
I did try to disable the subtitles within the apple TV settings, but this didn’t help at all.
I tried to set the burn in (default automatic) to ‘always’ and ‘Only Image Formats’ but it still does it no matter what settings.
On the server it shows that it’s burning in, and that the video is being transcoded. The audio is being directly streamed.
The file being played is in an MP4 Container, Codec: H.264, resolution 1080p, bitrate 2,7 Mbps.
Is there any update on this, seeing this looks to be a 3 year old (or maybe even older) issue?
