For some reason, the Plex web app has been acting strange lately. I have removed shows from my server, Scan Library, and they don’t disappear. Those deleted shows still show up, but shows that the episodes are Unavailable. What is going on with you lately, Plex!!!
Probably a dumb question, but have you used the “Empty Trash” option to clean up those files? It’s an option on the ellipsis for your libraries on the home page, in case you’ve missed it.
There’s an option to empty trash automatically in the settings. I have mine disabled so that in case one of the external drives become disconnected, the files aren’t automatically removed from the library, and return when the drive is re-connected.
I haven’t. I, too, have it disabled. All I ended up doing was clicking the ellipsis on the deleted show, and deleting from there. Still annoying. All I ever had to do was a refresh. And some of my shows metadata completely disappeared. It recognizes the title of the show, but no posters, backgrounds, descriptions appear…and they were just there yesterday.
