Show appears as deleted in Plex Web, but isn't

One of my TV shows appears as deleted in Plex Web (3.0.1, but also earlier versions), but it really isn’t and it appears fine in PMP. When I drill down into the show, it looks as though season 3 has been deleted. When I open season 3, no episode shows as deleted. Emptying the trash doesn’t change anything, either. I’ve tried all kinds of rescanning and rematching the show, but nothing works.
This is only cosmetic, but 'd still like to fix it. Any ideas how?

Drill down into the season and find the episode with the trash can icon.
Take a look at its Plex media info

Are there perhaps 2 file names present? If so, do they both exist?

Have you recently moved some of your files or have you edited the library to ‘look’ at a different folder?

Thanks for your reply.

As I wrote above, there is no episode marked with a trash can icon. If that were the case, emptying the trash would’ve worked.

I might’ve done that some time ago, but I couldn’t say if the problem started around then.

Here is “proof”. The season has a trash can icon, but no episodes have.

In this case, I think you’ll have to look at all episode’s media info.

Or is it maybe just a web browser caching issue?
Is there a change when you use a different web browser or a different machine to start Plex Web?

Thanks, but none of that changes anything. I looked at every episode’s media info, and everything is there. I also tried different browsers and different machines, but given the recent move from PlexWeb 2 to PlexWeb 3 it couldn’t really have been a caching issue anyway.

Have you restarted your Plex server recently? If not, do it. Then wait a few minutes afterwards.

Have you tried a ‘Optimize Database’?

Take a look into your tv show library properties. On the ‘Add Folders’ tab is the path to your files ending in a slash / or backslash \ ?

I restart the server all the time, whenever there is a PMS update. I’ve had this issue for months.

I have that as a scheduled task that runs every week.

No, it isn’t.

Could we go back into the library properties?

Do you have one folder path there or are you referencing several folders? And if so, is one of them contained in another one?
e.g. /mnt/volume1/series and /mnt/volume1/series/comics

I am referencing multiple folders, but they are not contained in one another.

Grasping at straws here:
Are you using .plexignore files?

I didn’t even know there is such a thing :))

Then I am almost out of ideas.

  1. activate debug logging (do not activate ‘verbose’ logging)
  2. quit Plex Server
  3. wait 1 minute
  4. start Plex Server
  5. wait 2 minutes

fetch the Plex Media Server.log file and seek for mentions of corruptin it.

I already had debug logging activated. I grepped all files, but none contain the word corrupt :-/

I even grepped for “The 100” and read the (verbose) output, but I didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary.

Then as a last resort perform the Plex Dance with the whole show.
It will make the show appear as if it were added just now.
Watrched/unwatched status is retained though.

Thanks, that finally did the trick! Much appreciated :)>-
