The Plex Web App will not remember last user logged in. Every time I open Plex up (http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html) I always have to select a user. This started happening recently. It didn’t used to be this way. Can I fix this? Thanks for your assistance.
Apparently something is erasing Cookies from your browser.
Maybe you installed a cleanup software or browser add-on or changed a setting in the browser recently?
OttoKerner, thanks for the response. I don’t think that is the issue. I have tried three different browsers (Firefox, Chrome and Edge), all of them do the same thing by requiring me to select a user and PIN every time I open the server by it’s local IP.
Something I noticed today, if I right click any movie, TV show or music picture and say open in new tab I still have to select a user and PIN. The browser is actually already open. Cookies should be good. I even turned off my anti-virus (Avast) but I still get the same result. This is quite frustrating as this never used to happen on this server.

Have you verified those Cookies?
There are browser settings which isolate cookies to their current browser tab
and there are others which make cookies automatically expire as soon as the browser is closed.
Verify your browser settings.
If your browser supports it, install an Add-On which lets you monitor or manipulate cookie settings on a per-site basis.
(e.g. for Firefox: ‘Cookie AutoDelete’
in Chrome this is already built in)
I know this post was months ago. Just wanted to let everyone know that this was a simple fix. After a PLEX server update for some reason the setting under Settings > Web Client > General “Automatically Sign In” was unchecked causing me to have to login every time I opened PLEX in my browser.
Thank you! I started running into this same issue recently and found that “Automatically signed in” was unchecked.
