Plex web app shows my Nvidia Shield TV server as "Unavailable"

I am trying to setup PMS on Nvidia Shield TV with my media files on an external USB drive (connected to one of the USB ports on the Shield), and running into several problems.

(1). On the Nvidia Shield PMS side, I don’t see any of my media files.
(2). On the Plex web app side, going to servers > Shield Android TV, I get the error messages “Unavailable” and “Unable to connect to “SHIELD Android TV” securely”.

Can anyone please guide me on how to fix these issues?

FYI: Prior to this, I have been running PMS on a Windows PC successfully. PMS on the Shield is even able to play movies from that Windows server, but not the PMS on the Shield. Once I am successful getting PMS running on the Shield, I plan to de-commission the PMS on the Windows PC.

I have the same issue. Since the update to 1.22.1.4228, the Plex Media Server cannot be started on my NVIDIA Shield TV 2017. Until that version, it ran perfectly well.

Thinking that something might have gone awry with my setup, I reset the Shield, and reinstalled. Unfortunately, the issue persists.
