Not sure where to put this so i figured general would be a good start… Im wondering if there is a way to have the plex web client play back media on an external plex media player by default.
IE can i have my laptop playback the selected video on my Samsung TV without having to click on “Select Player” -> “Samsung TV”
I suppose what you’re aiming for can only be achieved if you’re using Plex Media Player on a PC that’s directly wired via HDMI to that Samsung TV. With Plex Web you’ll always need to select the target if you want to display a video on a different device.
Sorry i should say that my Samsung tv shows as a player already since it has a app for plex installed on it… I was mainly wondering if there was a way to play to it by default.
The reason why i ask this is id like to set up a tablet to control home automations as well as be used as a media selection tool for my tv. Kind of like a smart remote.
