Plex Web failing to Plex Companion (Remote Control + Player)

Recently, I have noticed that Plex Web cannot find other player apps or be found by other player apps on the same local network.

However, Plex for Windows and Android are able to find and control each other as expected on the same network.

I tried disabling tracking protection and ad blockers in Firefox, but didn’t see any change. Chrome and Edge have no extensions installed.

I tried leaving the console open on Plex for Windows for a few minutes to aggregate some logs to review, but it seems the only CompanionPlayer entries found refer to dropping and re-adding the Android player from time to time.

All devices are connected via WiFi, but I am not sure if that matters. Network logs under developer tools in Firefox appear to show some connections failing, but I am not quite sure what I should look for.

Is there any guidance available on if this is a known issue, or any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?

Hello, is there a solution for this. I have the same problem: Plex Web can’t find any other player. But all other Apps (e.g. Plexamp) can find them.
