I’ve noticed that ever since I updated my PMS to 1.22.3.4392 I’m no longer offered the option when viewing Tracks within a library to use the grid display. This is still available for Artist and Album views, but I personally use Tracks with the Grid View almost exclusively and I’m curious why this is no longer being offered.
I think it just seemed like most folks would only look at tracks via a list. If something is not really used, getting rid of it makes things simpler with less things to break. I don’t know if anything major changed under the hood to make it difficult to bring back but I’ll pass it along.
I would appreciate that if you’d be able to! When I listen to music personally I usually just browse my most recently played 5-starred tracks, so having the option to have the album art available on that view made it a lot easier for me to be able to find the song I wanted at a quick glance.
I honestly don’t use my music library much so please bear with my possibly silly question. Are you filtering by you 5 star and looking at them that way or just sorting the whole library by ratings? is because you seeing the album art helps to remember the track even without reading the track name?
Dunno if it helps at all but you can add the rating column to the list.
I’ve been specifically filtering for 5-star tracks using the dropdown menus on the top left of your screenshot to the left of the total number of tracks, then sorting those tracks by most recently played, so unfortunately this doesn’t help with being able to see the album art in a grid mode option of that view, something similar to this!
The only way I view my music is by tracks in grid view, by Date Added. Very annoyed not to have this capability.
What’s the point of sucking up resources for album artwork if I can’t even see it??
