Missing here too, I pretty much exclusively used tracks grid view for browsing and adding things to playlists. I’m a visual person and find it muuuuuuch more useful to browse the cover art, vs a useless list of text. I hope they put it back but I doubt they will since there are so little of us using plex for music.
It’s decisions like this that make me wonder whether Plex is actually worth it anymore. Removing the plugin support didn’t bother me, ceasing development on PMP didn’t bother me (although I appreciate they’ve revived it somewhat with ‘Plex HTPC’, minus the linux support). This change I just don’t understand though. Grid view is still there for artists and albums, was it really worth removing it for tracks?
There are a few other threads about it so far (seems like some mass removal of grid view for whatever reason?)
I’ve noticed that ever since I updated my PMS to 1.22.3.4392 I’m no longer offered the option when viewing Tracks within a library to use the grid display. This is still available for Artist and Album views, but I personally use Tracks with the Grid View almost exclusively and I’m curious why this is no longer being offered.

Hello
I have recently started to convert all my old vinyl singles onto (FLAC) digital format. I used the correct folder hierarchy to display them correctly in Plex and all seemed fine. However, for no apparent reason, sorting them by ‘Tracks’ now just lists them.
Previously, sorting by Tracks used to display each track individually with the album art I had uploaded to the serve…

Hi there. I just noticed that I’m not able to show my folders of music in list view when accessing the content via the web app. I am logged in with the same account as in the server. I can see everything and everything else is the same.
The only difference: that
Anybody got an idea why that might be?
If I go to my music via the server IP I can switch from Grid View to List View. But only there an not via the web app…

Hey Guys, Hope everyone is well today. Quick Question. Did something change in the view settings? I just ran a quick update on my Plex Server and I like Folder view, because I keep my movies and some sports organized by Genera and Years, etc. After the update, while in folder view - I’m just seeing detailed view now for the items inside the folder? I want just the gridview inside the folder, but it appears that option is now gone?
So to be clear, I have a Films Folder, and then I have ty…
It seems like now that we’ve been forced to adopt the new home screen layout, we’ve also been forced to give up previous browsing views. I mostly browse by library view and navigate using folders that I’ve set up to easily find things. But there’s now no way to change the view method when you switch to folders. Gone is the grid view, and the old list view. Can someone explain why two very useful browsing views were removed?

The new lay out for folders SUCK. Please let me put it back in to grid style also this new view has removed almost ever tv show poster.
I can’t seem to find anyway to revert this crap.
The new version of the Plex PC App is a disaster. Now you cannot sort by folders and have it remain and once you get to folders mode, you cannot use anything but summary view. Apparently PLEX thinks it’s much better to have a cluttered and useless screen that looks cool than for their application to be actually useful. Was told this is not a bug but an INTENTIONAL change. Isn’t a customizable user experience the PURPOSE behind a UI? I have a huge film library divided up so I can find things…
OK, am I missing something, or did something change?
ALL of my “Personal Media” libraries are set up as “Other Videos” and each library was configured to display my videos in Grid View so that I could see the 'Poster" I added for each video… somehow the display has changed and it no longer displays the Poster format that I prefer and that I’m familiar with, what changed, or did I screw it up myself somehow?
Also, I had my Personal Media “Playlists” pinned to my home screen to have easy access …
Apparently the change was intentional:
Thanks for the report!
This was an intentional change, and for now the folder view will be limed to a list-style view in the web app. We will re-evaluate at a later date to possibly add more view types for folder view.
