After upgrading to the 1.x series of plex server for ubuntu; the plex web interface no longer can resume from a pause. I have to close the video window, re-play from the detail page and the system doesn’t remember the last position. This appears to only be happening on the web interface (which I mostly use).

Using Chrome? It’s a Chromium bug. The Plex devs reported it the other day. I found out about it last night.
You can pause for a few seconds and no longer., right?
