I recently updated my PMS on my MacMini to current and after updating I am getting an error when attempting to playback media files. What I am getting is the following;
“Playback Error. Conversion failed. A required codec could not be found or failed to install.”
The media files played with the previous version of PMS but now won’t. I can still play the media files directly from the NAS via VLC, so I know there are no problems with the media files nor the network connections.
Maybe I could attempt to shutoff converting as the original files are readily available on my NAS? I don’t think the files actually need converting as they are already in a playable format (.mkv; 1080p; AAC). Any suggestions?
