I find it extremely irritating that it is impossible to start a video playing on either of these players without the stupid Plex player controls popping up over the video when playback starts! The controls do not disappear before playback begins you have to wait for them to disappear which takes a least a full second and during that time the top and bottom of the screen are covered with the Plex app overlays. Why is there no option to disable the controls? Or you know, the smart thing…NOT having ugly controls pop up and cover the videos?
This behavior is really annoying because it is not necessary at all and I can’t believe it was designed to work this way. Plex needs to design a fix for this because in my opinion covering my videos makes them unwatchable on these devices. It does not do this when I play videos on Plex Classic or the new Plex app on my Rolu Ultra so why are the player controls programmed to activate upon playback on the site and Win 10 app? Can we please get a way to stop this behavior?
