I’ve the same issue till quite some time now and it’s getting really frustrating. I’ve researched a hole bunch of possible solutions in the web, on reddit and as well as here in the forums. I did the database repair instructions from the plex support pages and other suggestions and still got a non working search function.
Currently I’m on Version 1.32.7.7621, Webapp on 4.108.x (running in Docker on an Unraid Server, Linux) and did never touch the Settings → Network → List of IP addresses [..].
Just tried it and put my local network there as well as a single IP from a test PC but still no search is comming up. Did set the settings more times (with and without IPs) and restarts in between which still doesn’t improve the results.
PMS 1.32.8.7639-fb6452ebf is now available to all. @GreenCucumberPie and anyone else in this thread observing the issue mentioned in my above post, please report back that this is now working.
As the OP, I can also confirm that Plex media server 1.32.8.7639 (Debian) w/ Plex Web 4.116.1 now has the local media search working again. I waited for the public release, as I use the sudo apt repo for updates.
