I am trying to use Plex Web’s feature where it deletes library files. However, each time I select the delete button on videos, it instead triggers a generic error message.
The Allow media deletion server option is enabled.
I’m running Plex via the plexmediaserver.plexmediaserver snap service on Ubuntu.
Using the stock snap / systemd init service configurations.
Tried reloading the Web page, no effect.
Tried restarting the service, no effect.
Tried rebooting, no effect.
No plex UNIX group exists, for better or worse.
The process appears to be running as the root user, with some arbitrary group numerical identifier (a generic snap user).
I understand that there is an RBAC conflict, but it seems to be an unfortunate consequence of the stock snap package. Asking for assistance here before I manage to make the problem even worse.
