Suddenly all the icons on my web interface quadrupled in size to the extent that much of the navigation pane is taken up by huge icons which overpower what you actually want to see. They are so tightly packed compared with the font size they adjoin each other. This may be great for a phone app but on a web app displayed on a normal computer screen it detracts from the items you really want to see. I assume that this occurred from a automatic update of the web interface to Version 4.61.2.
Is there a way to reduce their size, just like you can change the size of the size of the tiles displayed for the videos (which are now barely larger than the icons!).
Plex web seems to have reset itself to Version 4.59.2 and the problem has gone away. Does anyone know if this was a version issue which has been withdrawn by reverting back to an earlier version?
the version bundled with the latest server builds (http://[PMS IP address]:32400/web) is at release 4.59.2
There’s been some changes to the layout in the newer versions with adjustments to fonts and icons. The icons have gotten slightly bigger but certainly not quadrupled (a few pixels maybe). If you’re seeing something completely different, please share a screenshot
That explains at least part of it. I had to restart the server last night and used the server icon from the task bar to load the web app. Previously I had just called the app from the browser.
Ok… that’s most definitely not right. The new look & feel is actually quite beautiful, not exactly sure what’s going wrong with that picture.
What browser is that?
I suppose this is a Windows 7 machine?
Do you get the same results using a different browser or when disabling browser add-ons/plugins? (almost looks like some of the stylesheets aren’t loaded)
It seems to be related to the browser version. The server is running Win 7 and the browser is Waterfox 2021.06. With Chrome it looks fine. It also looks fine on a Win 10 machine running Waterfox G3.2.3.
Chrome v73 is over a year old now. I’d suggest upgrading to the latest version of Chrome. Aside from this issue, your browser is also currently prone to a multitude of vulnerabilities that have been fixed since then.
