Icons have all changed to cartoons

I’m just wondering why all the icons on Plex have changed to cartoon images and sized for a 5 year old. They take up a lot more space and really, I’m not sure even a 5 year old would think them ok. You may want to think on the saying “if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it.”
I had not updated anything or changed any setting.
Is this a “new look” or something else, is there some way of restoring it back to the way it looked?

Any information would be great.

Mind sharing a screenshot of those cartoon icons? I’m not sure I’ve seen those anywhere…

Probably something like this? Windows player controls all scrunched up at the bottom

Everything’s in the correct locations, but with dinky new icons. It only seems to be on my PC, the TV app seems the same as it was.

This is the “Plex for Windows” app, and not the Plex web app, right?

Yes, Plex for Windows Version 1.33.0.2444-a220eae4

Are you using a 4K display?

I’m having the same issue. My monitor is 2K / 1440p.

I’m guessing this is some font issue, as I’ve noticed Youtube has similar outline icons.

I reinstalled version 1.33 (even though that is what I was using), and it resolved my icon issue.

The problem comes in with the play controls, where they are all overlapping each other: image

I am told the issue arises when you downgrade from PfW v1.34 to v1.33
The solution is to uninstall Plex for Windows/Mac.
Then install it again fresh.

The download of version 1.33 has been reinstated, as long as the issues with 1.34 are under investigation.

Same here. 1080 display.

My setup is with 2K / 1440p. I’ve had this setup for over 12 months, running Plex with no issues. this seems to have happened in the last few days.
It would seem that I am not alone with this issue, give the subsequent posts.

OK installed 1.33 over and fixed

Installing over my borked player fixed the HUGE Icons problems as well

Same thing for me after upgrading Server to 1.24.2.4973-2b1b51db9. Happens in Waterfox Classic, but not in Waterfox Current.

See image, Classic on the Left, Current on the right:

console log:

Console output from a working version of Plex Server:

So, it looks to me like it’s the “error in parsing value for ‘height’. Declaration dropped” that’s indicating / causing the issue.

I gave up trying to fix it and did a reinstall. All back to as it was.
Seems like a extravagant solution to what I thought was a trivial issue, but it works.

Thanks to everyone for all the information.
