So the Plex app has been recently updated for webOS and since then there is a problem with playback of transcoded streams.
Me and my mate both have LG Oled TVs (me B6 him B8) and it happens for both of us. Obviously I’m playing my content using direct play and even 4K Blu-ray remuxes are working fine but when I enable transcoding (for testing) it all falls apart.
I want to use transcoding so he can watch my library and yes we are trying to transcode 1080p videos to 1080p at lower bitrate.
Transcoded streams work fine for my sister who is using Plex app on Sony Bravia TV running Android and it also works fine on my Samsung TV as well as mine and my wife’s iPhones.
My server is a Windows 10 PC with i7 4790, 16GB RAM and an RX570 with HW encoding enabled.
Are others using webOS TVs experiencing same behaviour and if so will it be fixed.?
