Plex Will try to stream already downloaded content

Only when i disable internet will it play the local file. I don’t have good internet and downloading is the only way I can use PLEX. PLEASE HELP!

How are you determining that it’s not playing the downloaded file?

because it will buffer. my internet is very slow. when I disable wifi and go to downloads it will load instantly.

I can see the network activity under activity Darsboard page also even though nothing is downloading.

there used to be an option under Player settings to prefer local files but that option is missing now.

Are you playing it back from the Downloads section?

i tried both ways. when I download an entire season together it will just push me to the library page when I click on the download. no options.

please help. maybe you can add the option back? to prefer preloaded content.

also I was playing while offline and as soon as I connected to network PLEX started buffering. should I just use emby?
