Plex Windows App freezes/crashes when attempting to play a second file in the same watch session

Hi,
I am having an odd issue with my Plex app that I cannot seem to fix.

If I play any content from my PMS, then either wait for it to finish (watch the whole episode) or even play it for a few seconds then stop playback and attempt to play something else, the Plex app will just freeze. Sometimes i will hear the audio of the new video being played, but the app itself has become unresponsive to input.

I have tried reinstalling plex, as well as deleting the plex settings folder in local app data, neither of these helped.

Has anyone had this before, or knows of a fix?
